I believe it's a Thursday night airing. Don't quote me. Check their website. This is only the 2nd one I've seen but I'll try to remember to look and embed them here.
UAA was outplayed tonight, but the refs were awful. The Mankato announcer and color guy mentioned that the Mavs got two power plays they didn't deserve, and there were some blatant misses that should have gone UAA's way.
They actually mentioned the CFB on Conti, saying they were surprised it wasn't called, but more important than the "no call" is the fact that there is no injury to the Seawolf. And then the DELIBERATE kneeing penalty in the 3rd should have been called giving UAA a 2 man advantage. Their announcers actually said that if that was the NHL it would get you a suspension. Unbelievable. Thomas will be having a chat with the refs tomorrow, count on it.
We've got more talent this year than in years past but not enough talent to play with only 4 guys for over a 1/3 of the game. That kind of penalty killing wears everybody out. Not the first time it's happened this year so although we've gotten some bad calls it makes me think we may need to back off a bit. Maybe we are getting a reputation with the refs and that type reputation works against us. Tomorrows a new day so I'm hoping for a better result.
