AJHL's Canmore Eagles Kory Roy To UAA

Chris Heisenberg has added left-handed center Kory Roy from the AJHL's Canmore Eagles to the list of incoming freshman for the 2011-12 season.  The 5ft 11in, 185lb forward scored 30 goals and added 33 assists in 53 regular season games on Canmore's top line this past season.  His career AJHL numbers are 41g-60a in 110 games.

Roy is an Anchorage hockey product who played at Service High and graduated in 2008; he turned 21 this past March.  It wouldn't be a huge assumption to make that Kory is likely a non-scholarship "walk-on" player.  His addition brings to 6 the number of forwards the Seawolves are bringing in this upcoming season after losing 3 senior forwards to graduation.

Competition for playing time amongst freshman forwards just got a little stiffer with his addition.  Welcome to the squad Kory, as with every incoming freshman we hope to see you contributing.  Depending on who one counts, Roy's addition brings the stable of forwards to 16 or 17 for the 2011-12 season.
