3 Years and A Day

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my blog. December 18th, 2005 was my first post. Since then an additional 491 posts have graced this URL with thousands of comments from my brilliant readers. 119,058 hits with 175,065 page views.

I had planned to repost a few things in a self-centered mini-orgy celebration of me. You can thank a particularly acute rhino-virus for nixing that idea. My extreme mucosal state of being simply isn't conducive to all that.

So instead ... a simple thanks to all of you who find this place useful and/or interesting in your college hockey reading. I remember when I first got 50 hits in a day and thought that was cool. Most days so far this season have seen at least 250 hits a day.

This long break for the team has afforded me the opportunity to take a break from nearly daily posting. I've been glad for that as well. I'll slowly get back to that normal regimen but there is still time off to enjoy.

I hope you all enjoy your holiday season. Thanks for being "my" readers.

Take off ... ya hoser.

Do you guys over there really watch "Corner Gas"?

The only question I have is ...

Lacey or Karen?

They're both dumb as can be (which is a good thing). So does it come down to blonde or brunette?

Thank You for the countless hours you put into the best Blog in the WCHA if not one of the best in the country. Thanks Donald for all you do. ps the next one is on me....AH

Yeah, we watch "Corner Gas" as long as it doesn't conflict with "Hockey Night in Canada" or Seawolves streaming video. (Sounds like you've seen a few episodes yerself!) And I'll take Veronica over Betty.

Veronica over Betty
MaryAnn over Ginger
Lacey over Karen

Brunette clean sweep!

My daughter found Corner Gas long before me. I catch the occasional episode while she watches it all the time.

Are you kidding me? Veronica is such a spoiled brat!
Betty all the way, and im a brunette myself. So you cant call me biased.
oh and congrats on your three year anniversary!

Thank you, Donald! And happy holidays as well. Looking forward to the first of the year when the team plays again.

Thanks for doing the Blog Donald - I know it's a lot of work, but it is very much appreciated by the fans and by those folks who can't be here to watch the team play.

We're at our daughters (and son-in-law's) in warm & sunny Louisiana! Very strange to spend Christmas without snow. Hope all is well with everyone back in Alaska.

Hey Donald, at least she hasn't discovered Degrassi. That * is hilariously over the top.

JJ:
She's crazy over-the-top sophisticated for a 16 year old. There's no chance she'd watch Degrassi unless she was in a totally sarcastic mood. And anyway ... Degrassi > Saved by the Bell.

I didn't mean to dis Canadia TV. I swear I didn't. Hey ... all the Stargates were filmed in Canadia and anyone that doesn't love Jack O'Neill is cordially invited to stop reading my blog (even if he is a fucking Canucks fan). And I'm pretty sure that "How its Made" is originally a Canadia show too.

AND ... I'm a Les Stroud (Survivorman) fanatic ... so even if their Milk comes in bags they have my utmost respect ... plus I have extended family in Belleville Ontario and I lived there for about a year when I was 5-6 yo.

I forgot to say that I hate Quebec.

Hey wolfman! We're here in Louisiana visiting our daughter, in Bossier City! Nice weather.

Welcome home and thanks for your service!

Hey, no French, then no deported Acadians from what would become Canada (Cajuns, get it?) then no Cajun culture on the down low 48. And hockey? Love hockey and you gotta love Quebec and all those flying Frenchmen (and Veronica!). Canada has always sent its best Stateside. You're welcome.
