Chris Rengert To Seawolves

The "commitments" list on the BCHL website now includes Chris Rengert (previously reported as only a rumor) as coming to UAA next season. Chris is 5'9" 175, shoots left and turns 20 years old tomorrow (Friday February 16th). He is playing on Burnaby's #1 line with Kyle Turris and Tyler McNeely. In 50 games so far this season he has scored 22 goals and added 47 assists for #18 in the league.

The addition of Chris to next years class gives UAA 3 recruits from the top 20 scorers in the league. Tommy Grant has continued his ascent up the scoring ladder and is currently 12th with Winston Daychief at number 13.

I don't even see him ranked anywhere on Heisenbergs site. Are his stats a bit padded because he plays with two of the best players in the league or is he really this good?

I am surprise non one is talking about him being a 21 year old freshman. Sounds like a good pickup.

As Chris Heisenberg himself would say; his listing isn't intended to be a ranking so much as a general guide. And he gets the elast amount of information from the west.

That said, playing with two top players like that will certainly make your stats better. I was wondering that myself last year about Josh Lunden. He played on the BCHL's highest scoring line with Matt Butcher and Geoff Irwin last year ... go look at their stats this year ...

As with all incoming freshman ... it's a wait and see thing.

Wow. Lunden is performing way better than his old junior mates

Lunden didn't have his arm in a sling last night, I hope he can be back for the playoffs.

He said he'll be back for the playoffs for sure. I did learn that kronsch hurt himself durring practice this week. That's why he wasnt playing last night, and i'm not sure if he'll be playing tonight which is really sad.

Jeff,

Charlie's mom told me that he has a hairline fracture from blocking a shot in Wisconsin. As soon as the swelling goes down and he can get his skate off he'll be back. Are you saying he hurt himself AGAIN in practice?

I mean when he can get his skate ON, he'll be back. LOL. I am loosing it!
