I'll post the lines if they turn up in my mailbox but I often don't get them from the road games.  There's not much left to say about this series.  We all know the stakes.  Best of luck to all the guys.  Play your hearts out and you'll be rewarded.  We believe in you all.  Go Seawolves!!!

clark will not get picked for any all conference teams because he is canadian and he is from uaa.
Even though he lead the league in scoring and is fifth in the country.
Clark does not even get mentioned on any of the wcha sites.
Tough place to play, but clark will still contribute for uaa.
All the best this weekend guys, one game at a time.

Anyone know if Wiles made the trip?

Anonymous said...

that is not a legit vote, that is a person who has a blog and picked there picks. He did post some of the media outlets who made their selections and 3 out of 5 had clark on the 3rd wcha team.

Suze said...

Still lame, the leading league goal scorer on the 3rd team? Oooookay.

Is it possible to get on the Chat Room from an iPhone? I'm outta state for the next 10 days. I'm not that savvy with technology :)

Anonymous said...

Smarter than I thought. Got it figured out. See you all on Chatroll! GO SEAWOLVES!!!! We've all been waiting for you to be rewarded fir your efforts. Let's do it tonight!

Leading goal scorer on third team, played 2 less league games than everyone else.
Just hope for the best for clarky.
Just hope clarky can pop a few more this weekend and help lead his team to a win or two over wisconsin.

I've seen Clark on one "official" ballot on the 2nd team.

And folks ... don't bother going to Western Collge Hockey Blog for anything. The guy is deeply biased for Michigan, Mankato and St. Cloud and won't openly admit it. He is trying to ingratiate himself to Minnesota fans by sniffing 15 year old's jocks. He's trying to pretend he's a jounalist.

And on top of that, I've directed and forcefully insulted him in a number of harsh ways. So there's no way UAA is going to get a fair shake from him in anything.

His USCHO name is MaizeRage and he has every bit the homer fanatic reputation there that I have. Of course the difference is that I openly admit and celebrate my homerism.

yes you can do the chat on an iphone

Woody's blog post claims UAA had 28 shots tonight? When did that happen? I thought I saw only a couple legit scoring chances during the whole game. I hope they pull out a big Saturday night win tomorrow and at least push this series to the brink.

WATCHED THE GAME ON THE WISCONSIN SITE, THEY NEVER MENTIONED ONCE CLARK SCORING 23 GOALS THIS YEAR, WHAT A BIASED GROUP. Kurt is the best announcer in the league, and the most class.
Let's win won for the fans tonite.
Go seawolves.

Anonymous said...

The announcers on the wisconsin site were brutal.
The boys tonite have to stay out of the box. They were playing more selfish than I've seen in a while. You can't kill off 8 penalties (thankfully successfully) and then go out and have enough energy to come back and win a game.
I think that Gudmandson was playing a little cocky last night as well. He tripped up three of our players well out of his crease. I'd love for him to lose tonite. Score first on him and he can get rattled.
GO SEAWOLVES!!!! !

Does anyone know if the Saturday evening game is going to be televised on cable in Anchorage?

Thanks

The Wisconsin feed was terrible. I was getting motion sickness watching it. Are there any better options to watch if outside Anchorage?

Anonymous said...

i watched the game and cannot believe that they gave up another shorthanded goal. The shots were close but how many good chances did the wolves have. Most were from the perimeter.

We are playing the best team in the wcha, the margin for error is small. We always play better on saturday nite.
All the best to the seawolves.
Prediction: Wisonsin 4 Wolves 3
Clark 1 goal 1 assist
Lunden 1 goal 1 assist

Baldwin 1 goal
I usually pick seawolves to win.
but this is a stacked wisconsin team.
Unless Johnny can come up with 35 saves.

Wolfman said...

I believe the game will be on FCS DirecTV channel 617 tonight if you are outside of anchorage and have that channel. This is for folks out-of-state like me.

Mike said...

18 seriously? Pull your head out of your ass and play some defense in your zone. 2 goals on your lazy play. Shorthand goal again. Let's go Johnny O you got to stop some of those attempts. Probably over tonight, what happened to our physical play? Gone ... And we still lead in PIMS. Rock some Wisconsin players on their asses for a change. Good luck.

The iPhone works for the chat but not all that great you'll have to refresh a lot to keep up

Chat roll and iPhone FAIL Saturday

shyiak never put out his top two lines or shorten the bench in the third. He just lets wisconsin send out gefferoin and stephan the last 10 minutes and take it to us.
god forbid next year, no scores left on the team.
all the best to the seniors, curious to see where they all go.
to bad we did not play st. cloud, but shyiak gave away to many easy games in the year.

Anonymous said...

We better be getting some goaltending next year. We suck in net.

Anonymous said...

11 goals

Anonymous said...

Goal scoring lacked this year as well. Same story as last year.

whoever has never suited up for the seawolves before please shut your mouth. You have no idea what it takes to be a college athlete and you think its so easy to just turn it around at the snap of your fingers? Get a f-ing clue. UAA has a tough time recruiting players and they make due with what they have. I'm tired of reading this blog and hearing about the constant complaining and bitching about what they don't have and what their weaknesses are. I'm surprised none of these players try and transfer to a program where they have decent fan support. UAA fans are the worst fans around because they don't support thier team. Minnesota can have a tough go but their fans still attend games, yet Alaskans will watch a terrible ACES team and not support a team who has the potential to be a good team with players who are far better than the ECHL. I'm an alaskan and I feel bad for the players who try their best and still have to hear from people like you. No one should commit here with the lack of support and the disgraceful people who comment and have no f-ing clue what thier even talking about...shut your mouth!

doug said...

speaking as one of the UAA players friends I would have to agree with the previous two comments...their is no support and why would these players have the desire to play when their fans are so awful

Anonymous said...

I think the negative comments are posted more out of frustration. As either a friend, parent, fan or all 3 of the players, you hope for better for their sake. There would be no reaction at all from any fan if they did not care about this team and the players.

Wolfman said...

I care about the Seawolves and players who play for the Seawolves. I am right now trying to think how better we can support our team. I play the trumpet. If I was back in Alaska, the first thing I would do is create a pep band. Is anyone out there willing to step up?

Anonymous said...

To the annonymous fan who said "UAA fans are the worst fans around because they don't support thier team".

You sound like one of the players. If that is the case, you have no clue what UAA fans have endured over the past 20 years.

Minnesota would not have the fans they do if their team had come in 8th, 9th or 10th every year of their existence. As it is right now, their fans are fed up and more angry than UAA fans are. Read what is posted about the Gophers on the USCHO and you'll get a clue.

UAA has some of the most long suffering fans I know of, and right now they are frustrated. The Aces fans have not supported their team this season either, they have been averaging 3500 - and get the occasional 5000 or 6000 for a Fri/Sat night.

You want fan support? Start winning more games. That might sound harsh, but that is the honest reality. The fans you do have are die hard fans. Our family has invested $20,000 into this program over the last 20 plus years. If that isn't support I don't know what is.

Anonymous said...

I highly doubt that anonymous post was from a player because I don't think their mad at the fans. I can see this as frustration but that guy needs to chill out. The players are trying and thats all we can ask for, UAA will get a winning team soon! fingers crossed

Anonymous said...

If there is any blame to be placed for lack of fan support, don't blame the fans, blame the University.

The way they promote this team (or more aptly DON'T) is embarrassing.

Jeff said...

the 2,500-3,000 UAA hockey fans that show up to the sully every time they can are some of the most committed and loyal fans. It's really too bad that most hockey fans in this city don't realize the type of talent they are missing out on when they choose to follow the aces instead of UAA. Just because the aces have a recent winning history (Not including this season) doesn't mean the quality of hockey they play is better than that of UAA. I would love to see the aces play a season in the wcha. They wouldn't have a chance.

Bob said...

If the poster of "UAA fans are the worst fans around because they don't support their team" was referring to the ADN and Doyle Woody then you have every right to feel the way you do. Doyle is not a writer or a fan. It is obvious his career started writing Obituaries and has never been able to shake the habit of buring whom ever he is writing about.

He cannot write a piece without pointing out the history of his subject and putting a negative spin on it. Doyle is a grave digger, intent on being able to throw the first and last shovel of dirt on his victim. He trolls the stats to find some juicy tid-bit and calls it a scoop and then makes sure that he draws attention to it every time he puts words on paper.

Please do not judge the UAA fans through what Doyle or the ADN publishes. Unfortunatly, it is their actions that have been responsible for the numbers of fans in the stands.

Jeff,

Anchorage fans don't care about the level of hockey, they just want to see a winner. If the Aces have another season like this one, their band wagon fans will disappear very quickly.

With the debt involved with their league and all the salaries they have to pay, it makes you wonder how much longer the Aces will be around anyway. They may go the way of the Gold Kings.

Anonymous said...

Calm down noob.
Love Mike ... Hey I posted!

Anonymous said...

As much as I hate to say it, everyone wants to see a winner.
UAA basketball has the mens team make it to the final four once, the womens team made it twice. No wonder they are getting a new arena(whenever its built).

Anonymous said...

Uaa has a wcha team, be proud you do, it would be nice if Mr. Cobb
went down to see the new renovations to St. Cloud and the new arena in Bemjdi, next year there are 12 teams. Uaa was competitive this year, a few breaks they would have been in 8th place. Wish our seniors best of luck in the future.
Uaa will some day climb up the standings, tough to be patient.

Anonymous said...

Um ... UAA finished in 8th place.
