Poll: UAA Debuts At #7

In an unprecedented and historic event the UAA Seawolves today debuted at #7 in the LetsGoDU Top 10 SuperPoll®. On the strength of it's current 3rd place standing in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association the Seawolves appear above mighty Air Force at #8 and Wisconsin at #9. As always Si Si was ranked last. Michigan clings to #6 just above the rapidly ascending Seawolves. Denver of course was as always #1 followed by #2 BahstunU, #3 BahstunC, Minisoda in 4th and a New Hampster in 5th.

When contacted by the UAA Fan Blog, Head Coach Dave Shyiak indicated he was thrilled with the inclusion of the Seawolves saying,
"We've been telling our guys to take things one game at a time and not worry about the polls. If we do our job on the ice then the polls will take care of themselves. But this sudden and unexpected inclusion in the SuperPoll® gives us every reason to expect that the next couple of WCHA opponents we'll face will be complete and total walkovers."
The Seawolves next two opponents are Minisoda St.,- Mankato Mavericky Screaming Eagles (the school Craig T. Nelson coached to football greatness from 1989-1997) and the University of North Dakota Fighting Indigenous Reddish-Brown Disenfranchised People both of which are entirely absent from the SuperPoll®. Coach Bob Motzko of the University of Minisoda Saint Cloud immediately and furiously protested UAA's inclusion saying,
"Those guys haven't played anyone. Wait until they face my Yo-Yo's and then tell me they're a top 10 team. I doubt anyone can match the power of our walk-the-dog trickery or the grace of our rock-the-baby moves."
Note: Saint Cloud doesn't appear in the poll therefore the usual Jan Brady pointing-finger-of-jealousy (usually reserved for big sister school the University of Marsha Marsha Marsha Twin Cities) is redirected to Anchorage for one week only. A spokesman for the SuperPoll® explained UAA's addition could be attributed to a
"Last minute vote from LetsGoDU's Anchorage office with UAA in the top spot ..." causing a "seismic shift in the SuperPoll® results."
Congratulations to UAA on it's inclusion in this THE finest of polls. The LetsGoDU Top Ten SuperPoll® is the preeminent Divsion 1 college hockey poll. It laughs at the USCHO/CBS Sports D-1 Hockey Poll and spits in the faces of the INCH Power Rankings and USA Today College Hockey Poll.

Congrats of the 7th placing ranking, but with power comes responsibility.

If I'm Shyiak, I'm worried that UAA opponents will come in fired up to knock off the 7th rated team in the country.

Plus there's the inevitable letdown from the players who have finally reached the Promised Land.

Spoon? Thanks for the heads up. I've been checking Heisenberg daily but didn't today. Baldwin looks to be a quality addition. By the way ... just a friendly note here ...

When someone on the Internet types in ALL CAPS then everyone reading assumes that person is yelling.
