The WCHA announced today that UAA forward Tommy Grant has been named the Offensive Player of the Week for his 3 goal performance last weekend versus Michigan Tech in Houghton. Grant scored 75% of UAA's goals in the split with the Huskies. His 6 goals on the season tie him for 1st in goals on the WCHA overall scoring table.
Tommy scored both of the Seawolves goals in the 4-2 Friday night loss and he picked up the game winner in Saturday night's Seawolf victory. He had 9 SOG for the series and was a +1 on the weekend. All three of his goals were smartly finished. Tommy's 9 points in the first 8 games of the season surpasses his 7 total points in his rookie campaign.
Tommy has definitely strenghtened from his freshman year and is using his speed more effectively. He is stronger on the puck and always a menacing forechecker. I've commented here before about the nice release on his shot. Congratulations to Tommy on his first WCHA weekly award.

Congratulations Tommy!! Keep it going this weekend.
Tommy, has been great for us so far. He has really picked up some slack and we would not have anywhere near the record we have without everything he has done so far. I really like the chemistry that he and Crowder are showing and I think Moir is beginning to feel that. Way to go Tommy
a great start (and even greater weekend) and hope it continues all season, agree with Kris, and most of the time agree with Anonymous
