The UAA Hockey Fan Blog is proud to announce it's first Ticket Giveaway Extravaganza for loyal and involved readers. I've got 8 "free passes" available for distribution which can be used at any of the remaining 3 home games this season. As I mentioned yesterday, exactly how to award these passes has been an ongoing process for me. I considered some sort of trivia contest and had essentially settled on that method. But my internal muse suggested what I think is perhaps a better way.
So, I'd like to award the tickets to any reader that submits something creative to the blog. It could be anything I can use here; an essay, great picture(s), a video or perhaps an audio file. I think the blog could use a logo. I'm always in need of UAA hockey pictures to top the posts. I've begged and cajoled for other fans to submit written content and views/analysis. I'm going to use my subjective judgement to award the winning submissions.
Other examples, if someone were to take the time to put together a comprehensive highlight video of some or all the incoming recruits (and many of them are to be found on various Jr. hockey YouTube clips) that would certainly rate multiple passes vs. a nice pic you took at a game. A well written (on which I didn't have to play "editor") essay on what UAA Hockey means to you would probably outrank a photo montage you created (unless the photo montage happened to be nearly naked babes wearing Seawolves jerseys). The possibilities are really only limited by your creativity. If something was awesome enough, I might give you all 8 passes.
All I ask is that any passes I award be used to put an actual butt in a seat at the Sully. So come on dear readers, impress me with your creativity. Please. Here's a chance to bring some of your friends for free if you already have tickets. If you don't have tickets here's a chance to score one/some. I hope I get a flood of submissions. I'm not betting on a flood though, so if I have to change the format, I will make you slog through the blog to find answers to blog trivia questions. To submit entries simply enclose your submission in an email message to me.
Many thanks to UAA's Associate Athletic Director Jane Pallister for making these passes available.

Does anybody have any unrest that Kevin Clark didn't get any attention for the Bobey Haker award? Granted he doesn't have as big of numbers, but in the second half of the season he's teared it up.

clark is averaging 1.4 pts per game in the second half. 6 regular season games left. Plus playoff games. Kevin is more interested in the team finishing strong down the stretch. He will continue to score and rack up points. I heard from a source his parents are going to minnesota state, each time his mom has gone he has scored michigan tech weekend and st. cloud weekend.
All the best to the team, kevin will be fine, let's hope the team sweeps minnesota state, and returns for the govenor's cup in seventh place.
All the best to the team this weekend.
