You Need To Know Stuff

The UAA Hockey Alumni Association is hosting it's annual Youth Skills Competition (Skate, Pass & Shoot!) this Saturday afternoon (January 15th, 2011) at the Sullivan Arena.  The competition is open to boys Mites, Squirts and Peewees and to girls 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U.

Register at the security entrance down stairs off the NW corner of the arena beginning at 12:30 pm with competition beginning at 1:30 pm.  The event is limited to the 1st 100 players and requires full hockey gear.  For the 10 dollar registration fee you will receive a free Skills Competition T-Shirt plus a Family Ticket Pack to the UAA game that night.

There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards in each division for both skaters and goaltenders.  For more information contact Chris Homan @ 244 - 5540.  You can visit their site by clicking on this link.

If you are one of the first thousand fans in attendance on Friday night you be the lucky recipient of a Seawolf Scarf.  Get there early enough on Saturday and you can score a free Seawolf beanie.  Saturday was gonna be gloves but they changed it.  So anyone who was counting on coming Saturday and getting in on the free glove action better rethink it.  It's beanies.

CC fan and frequent commenter BBEF will be here for the series.  I'll be showing him around both nights so if you see us between periods come over and say hi.  We'll be up for any interesting post game suggestions or even beers .... so maybe something interesting will develop along those lines.

I'll have a game day post up early on Friday morning AST.
