The Chatroom will appear below before I head out for the game ... about 6:15 or so.
There was news earlier regarding a freon leak that threatened to cancel tonight's game.  The leak has been resolved and the scheduled game time has been moved back 30 mins.  See ADN for details
Go Seawolves!!

What's the most important thing to do this weekend Seawolves?

Besides giving the Gophers 120 minutes of hell.

We need to score first: 7-0-0
Don't score first: 0-13-0

Seawolves, you need to force your will and game against those winy draft picks and kick their ass. Make them real gophers, and bury them in the ice.

HOO RA!

I forgot you could delete your own comment, and clear any grammer mistakes, cool!

Donald, this is interesting and hilarious:

University system doesn't favor Fairbanks, president says.

Will John Hill be in attendance tonight? I hope the Seawolves put egg on his face. When he left, he basically said UAA wasn't "good enough" for his services.

I hope the UAA players use that as motivation to come out hard, score the first goal, and get the crowd into the game.

Remember when he first came back to the Sully, he slipped on the ice, and broke his back, or "further" injuried it.

Yeah, you know what they say about payback. Not that I am a vindictive person, but Hill's wanting to be involved with a team that could win a national championship every year? How's that working out for ya Jonnie?

Wolf moon tonight......biggest and brightest moon of 2010. I'm just sayin' that it's an omen. The Seawolves and their 3,000 loyal fans will be howling tonight after they beat Minnesota.

GO SEAWOLVES!!!

Cant wait to see those Gophers scurry back to their holes after the Seawolves destroy them this week-end. Give 'em three periods of hell both nights boys! It's your time now.

Say what you want. Hill had 14 Alaskans on the team. How many we got now. That matters.

Anon@327 ...
I'm not going to bother double-checking your numbers cos it doesn't matter. Know why? Because that pussy jumped at the first chance to hide under tDonnie's skirt. And on his way out he threw the program under the bus. He fucking lied. He fucking disrespected it. After he was gone, he and his boss tampered with players. He did more to set this program back than Dean Talafous did.

The sweetest thing about it all is ... that he'll never ever get another D1 head coaching job. And the overwhelming majority of Gopher fans think he's a douche.

So ... don't try to come here and pump up his tires. You won't find me very welcoming of that.

WOW ... nobody in North Dakota can sing the anthem worth a shit ...

Every game I watch from Ralph's Bunker they have the shittiest singers ...

Wow, I guess the Sully leaks more than just water...

Donald Dunlop said...

LOL. I've updated the post and will do again after another call to Cobb in about 30 mins.

Someone with posting privs at USCHO should mention this on the UAA/Minnesota thread ... point them here for updates.

They don't have the singers, but have a helluva nice barn.

Is Crowell back in the lineup?

Anonymous said...

Crowell? Hope not, I liked last fridays lines, offense and defense.

Anonymous said...

was he a healthy scratch last weekend or was he still suspended?

Akhockeyfanatic said...

40 minutes till game time. Dress warm- the Sully is frickn freezing!

Anonymous said...

Crowell was a healthy scratch for the Saturday game. Didn't see him, Leinweber or Hunt on the ice tonight. WTF is up with benching Leinweber and Hunt and playing Darwitz? Come on coach, put the experienced players on the ice!!

Jonnie has been okay in the past few games, but he let in 7 tonight and 6 last Friday. Defense has to help him out some. But he cannot handle the puck, Bryce can. Time to call off the dogs Shyiak and suit up Christiansen. We are still behind you Bryce, don't lose heart.

Hill may have had Alaskans on his roster, but the attendance issues started when he was on the bench. Going an entire season without ONE league killed us, and we are still feeling the fallout.

Anonymous said...

Jon did mis-handle a few pucks, but there were way too many coughed up pucks in the Min. end. They were allowed to break out of their zone way too easily.

Alaskana said...

Wow, what a rollercoaster of a game. First period was gr8, but the rest of the game not so much. Well, in that case on to 'victory Saturday' :-)

Anonymous said...

Yup.....on to Saturday......it will be a W for sure

GO SEAWOLVES!

Alaskana said...

By the way, for those statisticians, did tonight's loss make home ice impossible for the wolves, or just infinitely small?

Anonymous said...

Ok Seawolves... don't let this get you down... as THEY ARE BEATABLE ...
just Believe... like We Believe in You.... let's take them out tomorrow and get some points from this very overrated bunch of little kittys...

Shyiak plays whoever is playing well..and you cant talk about expierence when naslund and spencer had 3 points tonight each and they are both freshman..where are the upperclassman at? (excluding sean wiles who has been on fire) dont be so negative buddy.

Anonymous said...

Where are the upperclassmen at? Umm, look at the stats. The top four scorers are juniors and seniors.

Nobody is asking for Naslund and Spencer to sit, but we have some freshmen who are making bad mistakes game after game, yet they continue to get ice time.

Jonnie O's numbers are now .869. That doesn't cut it for ANY division I team. Give Bryce or Sidor a chance. Jonnie has not stopped a breakaway attempt all season. Where is their goalie coach?
