Donald, check out the breakdown I did on the UA_/UAA USCHO Thread:

http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?p=4611054#post4611054

look for the U of Not Fairbanks on page 3, post 52

That is an excellent breakdown. Very well done. I did something less complete a while back an included Brush.

Essentially, it told me that all four coaches had very similar levels of achievement. Definitely food for thought.

Nice Job.

All of them have been absolutely Awful in the community and burned thru players like water. Wins/losses are a fucking joke and no level of accountability anywhere. What do you say 0 for 100 in St Cloud

I am very disappointed in Shyiaks choices tonite. Not surprised at 6-0. When your plan is to showcase some and screw others for the scouts 6-0 is justified. The players deserve better.

Suze said...

Who did Shyiak screw?

No life in the guys today. We played a Saturday night game on Friday night and a Friday night game today. I would have thought Bryce should have replace Olthuis after the third goal. Why not the team showed nothing to indicate they were going to come back and win one. Give Bryce time in the net again. A week off and then on to Mankato where who knows what the guys will do. Hopefully we will have Grant, Haddad, and Gorham back then. We still can make some noise if the guys play their game.

Bad game on Saturday oh well. We can suck it up and win a few more before the playoffs. The guys can play if they move their feet and eliminate poor passing. Not too sure what the league has become with their calls on checking? Anyone got any ideas, it sure has become lame.

Bryce wasn't even in St. Cloud. He's now the 3rd string goalie and was left home from the road trip, which is an absolute joke because oobviously the coach has no intention of ever playing Sidor. Like the rest of the team Jon has put up one good game per weekend for the last few weeks which shows that we should still be splitting the goaltending duties.

Free BRYCE...

ZZzz said...

I was incorrect saying Bryce wasn't on the trip. He was - still just in the doghouse...

Well, with the wins so far, we have 10 this season, 14 last season, the first time since 98-99, 99-00, that we had back to back years with 10+ wins

Mike said...

That's what I'm thinking, all you hear is the other teams have smaller "skill" style guys... And that translates
to don't hit them cause it might hurt them? Especially along the boards because a check there carries with it the dreaded 5 and DQ ... WCHA turns pussy league 2009-2010...

Listening to those SCSU announcers falling over each other I think made me at last get it. The best comment was about how far St Cloud has to travel when they go to Alaska. Wow. The WCHA is a Minnesotacentric league. Fiday night the Wolves put a scare in their plans for top national ranking. (How else can you explain the call and Backstom that put the pretty boys up six skaters to four? And those calls on Saturday? Surprised their mommy didn't come on the ice and help them up.) I commented Friday that the Wolves weren't affected by the environment that was St Cloud. I was wrong. They were. They gave it everything Friday but it wasn't enough to break through the we're Minnesota and we fall down go boom. Take it as a split in a tough rink. A week off to get healthy and back at it. Chins up, boys.

(W)hiner(C)ryer(H)itless(A)sshole refs league... Still is 'toughest' leauge in hockey, but more pussified.. must be coming from that shit of state called minnesota..

UAA Fan (not)in Florida said...

A co-worker had a great idea, every 20 years or so, every eligable voter gets a vote on every state, whether to add it, or fucking pick if off like a zit.., minnesota, n.d. and rhode island would be GONE...

oh, who has the under for the national anthem today for SuperBowl? if you do, you are done!! lol

UAA Fan (not)in Florida said...

He looks like 'Dirty' from ND...

Superbowl is playing Sirius, they played it at the Avs game last night. Used to play it at the Sully. How come we never have any good HOCKEY music at the Sully? The music guy is a joke.

Hey UAA music guy, go visit the Avs and get some fresh ideas, their guy does an amazing job.

Anonymous said...

Because the atmosphere "created" at the Sully for UAA hockey is a long running joke and embarassment.

Suze said...

I disagree. Most of the entertainment this season has been really good, but the music is pretty bad. Clearly something needs to be done about it. Music is a BIG part of a hockey game, in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Nothing will get done about the music because that's what the blueliners want and that's what we get.

Anonymous said...

Then it's time to talk to the blueliners. I thought Derek Donald was in charge of all that?

Ogie said...

Its Monday and no Sat. game recap...I think Donald may have finally gone off the deep end...Maybe we should call the police and file a missing bloggers report!

Anonymous said...

And no Sunday potpourri. Are you okay Donald?

Anonymous said...

A monday potpourri will do??? Donald I hope your absence does not indicate bad news. I hope you're okay., I think saturday is forgotten(as it should be)...

Suze said...

Yup, I really don't want to read a recap of the Saturday game. Experiencing it was bad enough. You get a pass on this one Donald.

Donald, we need our fix. Give us a sign for Christ's sake! You created this monster. We take back anything we've said.

Donald Dunlop said...

Fear not with regard to my two day absence from posting as it is only mundane things keeping me away.

And hey, it's a bye week ... so I've only gone off the shallow end.

Whew!

Had us worried DD...

And again, posting anonyPUSS is bs. If you got something to say, but your Handle on it, if not your name...

see, it's not so hard..

Anonymous said...

Free Donald from the mundane!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Some people post anonymous for a reason. That's the idea of anonymous. It is absurd that you would have an issue with that Matthew.

Donald Dunlop said...

Let's not have an argument about that eh? I don't have a problem with anonymous posting. I only prefer that when some thread of comments get's extensive and one particular anon is posting multiple times that they differentiate themselves somehow so I know which anon I'm addressing.

Suze, how did Mark Pustin look?

Dan

akhockeyfanatic said...

Everyone can get a chance to look at Mark Pustin when the Ice Dogs come to Wasilla and play the Avs on thursday, Friday and saturday (February 18, 19 20) Should be a good series. Ice dogs are only a few points ahead of the Avs and the Avs are on a winning streak. Seawolves are away that wknd so might be fun to drive to Wasilla and get your hockey fix.

where are the fans, 6 games to go.
4 wcha games could win them all with a healthy lineup.
govenor's cup.
great second half from the team.
a little excitement would be nice.

Hmmm, Nils Backstrom was running away with the votes in the Fan Favorite Award, but now Kevin Clark is now slightly leading.

If you haven't voted, well what are you waiting for (cone)heads? Word Ver. ha

Suze said...

Dan,

I went to the Avs game, they played Kenai. Got a good look at Friese, he had a goal and 2 assists - 1st star of the game.

Played on the power play, see's the ice well, good puck handler, good passer. He was camped out in front of the goalie all night long.

Rob Haider was the number two star, he is very fast, and plays with a lot of energy (reminds me of JJ). Two good players.

I think we will try to make one of those Avs/Ice Dogs games, they are always fun. Fairbanks fans usually come down for them.

I'm sorry for the annonymous comment, I'm not sure why it gets under my skin.

I apologize.
