Post Game Interviews 2-4-11 vs Michigan Tech
The Seawolves continue Michigan Tech's winless streak, now at 23 games, with a 4-1 victory over the Huskies. Curtis Leinweber scored two goals, Chris Kamal got his second straight win, and Wes McLeod got his second goal of the season.
The game started as a somewhat dull, defensive effort with both teams keeping each other out of their respective zones. The Seawolves got the scoring with a 3 on 1 break and a Nick Haddad cross-ice pass to Leinweber, who finished off for the goal.
Tech started the 2nd on the power play and Jade Portwood took a High-Sticking penalty for a Tech 5-on-3, shortly after the first penalty ended Milos Gordic tipped in a one-timer for the goal.
But that seemed to be it for Tech as Wes McLeod snuck in a point shot past Genoe for a PP (and Game Winning) goal to take the lead for good.
Leinweber added a Shortie, bouncing one off of a Tech defender after a nice rush while Craig Parkinson added one late to seal the deal.
The win has UAA keeping pace with CC who won against DU, and Minnesota who tied with Duluth.
Interviews tonight with Curtis Leinweber, Chris Kamal, and Coach Shyiak.

Nice win, especially since we didn't play our best hockey. I EXPECT the Wolves to play better tomorrow. Seemed as though we didn't see Wiles at all, was he hurt? Either that or he just disappeared for long stretches. Vidmar takes too many penalties. Kwas played well despite not getting a point. How about 3 goals from the Blue Liners?
Good job guys, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the interviews JJ! Really enjoy them.
