Game Day: Seawolves Have Chance To Sweep

Saturday, November 27th 2010
UAA Seawolves vs. Colorado College
World Arena::Colorado Springs
5:07PM
(Alaska Standard Time)

Sounded like lots of things went right for the Seawolves last night amid a couple of things going wrong.  That's a good sign when going right stuff outweighs the going wrong stuff.  Guys throughout this lineup are contributing positively to the teams success and they'll all get another test tonight.  And if they're up to that test then they might take advantage of this chance to sweep CC.

There'd be so much value in a road sweep right now beyond the important 4 WCHA points.  This Seawolves team might be at a bit of a juncture in this early season.  They've played competitively and even lost a couple of games that they maybe should have won.  They weren't deserving of a split last weekend versus St. Cloud.  Personally, I see some confidence developing and a win tonight would really go a long way to cementing that sort of attitude amongst the team.

It's possible to leave the World Arena tonight having to rely on Friday night for it's positives while trying to put Saturday night behind you.  That's not a mindset to reinforce this burgeoning feeling of confidence.  Another win would be just the ticket.  With that in mind then tonight's effort is paramount to perhaps setting a tone going into the last 4 games of the 1st half of the season.

But hey, I'm the guy that guessed Friday nights game would be a defensive minded affair.  Congrats again to the team for a real "team" victory.  I'm hopeful we'll see the same effort and maybe just maybe a nice road sweep.

Go Seawolves!!!
